A bunch of happy little things happened as this shoot came together. The first though, is no little thing. Kevin lives in Ontario and due to covid, his flight was cancelled many times over the months until he finally was able to make it over in the summer!
With this area being a marsh land, the grassy area is normally quite wet so I usually don’t head down there but this time it was dry!
As Ellen and Kevin were walking back up the hill, I noticed how the backdrop against them was all sky so I seized the opportunity and took this photo.
There’s a spot down below some steps that I normally like to use however there was this whole video crew that was there that day and they were using that spot so I had to shoot next to them. Turns out the new spot was just as good!
Ellen and Kevin came into this shoot telling me how awkward they are in photos, but I didn’t find this to be the case at all! Perhaps it was their quirks that made this shoot so fun and personable.
