The first look is where the bride and the groom will see each other for the first time before the ceremony. The top reason to do a first look, in my opinion is that it gives you both a moment to yourselves before the rest of the day really begins because then, you will be surrounded by others until the day ends.
In terms of a first look location I would pick a place that has few people walking around as you don't want anyone to disrupt your moment! Some couples will have close friends and family around, off in the distance while others will just be the two of them. My last tip for the first look is to pick a place with a bit of space so that the photographer has room to move around and capture the reactions of both the bride and groom!
