I turned up at Summer’s house where she was getting ready and she had some personalized details set up already. Those dried flowers you see are a collection of all the flowers that Jimmy has given her over the time that they’ve been together!
Once Summer was in her dress she read a letter that Jimmy had written her and then did a first look with her dad.
We then headed off to a pathway near by for the couples first look. Before they saw each other, Summer had surprised Jimmy with a gift in the form of a book which chronicles their relationship together so far. I had never seen anything like that before!
After, we headed back home for a quick tea ceremony before heading off to Stanley Park for portraits. It was busy out so we ended up doing most of the portraits in the woods which worked out beautifully.
Following portraits we went straight into the ceremony. My favourite part of the ceremony was how right after, Jimmy did a broccoli toss in place of the traditional garter toss.
The reception was adorned with beautiful details and tasty food. Part way through, Summer had a dress change so we went outside for a quick portrait session before finishing the night off with some sparklers. We weren’t sure if we could make the sparklers happen as it started to drizzle a little and the wind had really picked up but with some persistence we did it!
Thanks to the amazing team of vendors who made this day possible!
