The shoot was originally supposed to be at Whytecliff Park. We had planned and prepped for Whytecliff Park, but when we got there the place was packed. Joanne was telling me she was sbout to have an anxiety attack as she's not good with being photographed around lots of people so I made a quick judgement call and said hey, let's go to Lighthouse Park! It's close by, and might be quieter.
Truth is, I didn't actually know that it would be quieter, but I knew that Lighthouse Park is larger and more spread out so that it would give us a chance at finding more isolated spots. And I was right. We started by going into quiet spots around the park where there were no people and eventually worked our way around the park through various spots. The key was just to start in a quiet area and ease into it. From my experience, most couples are pretty relaxed by the end of the shoot and couldn't care about who's around!
