Christina Luo first became attracted to lettering in the third grade when she was inspired by tagging and wanted to be a graffiti artist. Still, even throughout her years in university she didn’t know she wanted to be a calligrapher until a series of events convinced her to give it a go and thus starting Fox and Flourish.
When she first started she was self taught through youtube videos and eventually took workshops to further her skills. Despite her evident mastery, Christina tells me that she still practices the basics in calligraphy, almost daily, just to keep her fundamentals sharp.
