It’s so exciting to finally start to contact all the different vendors that you want to be part of your wedding dream team! To help save you some time, here are 5 pieces of information you should include when contacting wedding vendors to get the most out of your time.
1. Your date. Plain and simple, we want to know that we are available for you! And if we aren’t available, we can refer someone who we think could be a good fit for you.
2. You and your fiance's name. No one gets married alone!
3. Your venue. If we’ve worked there before, perhaps we can show you some sample images, or give you some tips about that particular location.
4. Why you’re emailing. Most people who email me are looking for a wedding photographer, but sometimes it may be someone looking for photos of something that I’ve never shot before. In which case I would refer them to someone with more experience in that area who would be a better fit!
5. A little bit about your wedding and yourselves. The better I know you, the better that I can photograph you! For other vendors, think about what kind of information that they would be looking for (ex. florist - number of bouquets, caterer - headcount etc...)
With this info, who ever you contact will be able to give you the exact information that you’e looking for!
