It was such a great experience getting to second shoot Steve and Diana’s wedding with Melissa Gidney. I’ve admired Melissa’s work ever since I got into wedding photography and I jumped at the opportunity to second shoot for her when she approached me about it. I feel like being a second shooter is quite different than being the lead photographer because it involves a lot more thinking on your feet. I think it’s safe to say a second shooter is there more for their skill set than their vision. I also enjoy second shooting as it gives me an opportunity to see from my own second shooter’s point of view so that we can create the best workflow possible. Check out the shots from the day below!
