Last week I headed to North Van to meet Jon for a portrait session and to grab some pics of his car. This is the first post of a two part blog post of the events that followed.
We started off in the woods right around the corner from his home to get warmed up and then we moved onto this bridge that we drove by while getting to the woods. I really liked the lines of the bridge and how the trees helped frame the car.
We then headed up to Cypress Mountain for some real deal happenings. This is my first attempt at environmental car shots and I was quite happy with the results. Definitely something I'm gonna try to do more often throughout my work. We finished the day by getting some pan shots of Jon driving up and down this corner he really liked. I took a bunch of shots expecting to only get one or two good ones as pans are quite difficult to pull off when you're at a stand still; however I was pleasantly surprised at the results. I really love the pop the autumn colours gave the photos as well as how the curve in the road intensifies the action. Stay tuned for the next post for the portraits!
