As I got out of the train I was greeted with sun and humidity I had only experienced from when I was in Hawaii. Part two of Sarah and Brian's wedding brought us to Hong Kong to continue the celebration with their family overseas. I knew the reception would be of a banquet style similar to ones seen in Canada so I really wanted to capture portraits that had a real Hong Kong vibe to them. It was surreal photographing Sarah and Brian as we walked through the streets of Yuen Long, the district where Brian spent his childhood. There was a sense of familiarity in that taking photos is taking photos, and that I've photographed the couple before, but at the same time we were doing this on the other side of the world! I feel so grateful to have been given the opportunity to travel to Asia to photograph both parts of their wedding.
